Philosophy and Approach
Drawing from my wide-ranging life experiences—such as widowhood, remarriage, and blending a family—I bring depth and empathy to my work with clients navigating transitions, grief, and recovery. I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach that integrates Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. This allows me to help clients identify and transform negative thought patterns, foster emotional well-being, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
I approach counseling creatively and with deep respect for my clients’ lived experiences. I believe healing begins in a collaborative environment where clients feel truly seen and understood. My goal is to bring empathy, wisdom, and genuine care to every session. I am especially passionate about supporting women through life changes, identity exploration, and recovery from trauma and grief.
Formal Education and Training
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from George Fox University, a Coaching Certification from Western Seminary, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I am also a current member of the American Counseling Association.
